On behalf of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) and Czech University of Life Sciences, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences, I cordially invite you to attend the 2014 IUFRO Forest Tree Breeding Conference. The goal of this conference is to provide a superior learning environment that encourages a passionate exchange of ideas among the scientists, students and other attendees.
We hope that you will attend to learn more about our shared passion for maintaining, improving and restoring forests through scientifically based forest tree breeding. The week-long conference will include a variety of topics such as advances in breeding theory, genetic evaluation protocols, progeny testing, and interaction between forest tree breeding and other disciplines. And at the conclusion of each day’s program you will be able to explore one of the most beautiful cities in Europe... Prague.
If you have never been to Prague, rest assured that it is a fantastic city to visit. It is one of the most popular destinations in Central Europe with a rich history of music, artists, authors and much more. Prague is an enchanting city with beautiful architecture, a rich night life and wonderful restaurants. The city is easily reached from most international airports.
We hope that you will make plans now to attend the 2014 conference and we encourage you to share your knowledge by submitting contributions to the program. Please, do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions regarding the program.
Hope to see you in Prague!
